There seems to be a lot of us waiting for our custom orders to be born, so I thought we needed our own support group away from all of those custom 12-stringer freaks!
Just kidding.
So... What do you have on order, and how long have you been waiting?
Fretless L2.5K
blank ebony board
gunoil tint neck
3-tone sunburst with matching headstock
Flame maple top
Natural wood binding
G&G case upgrade
I've been waiting 7 weeks so far. I've a ways to go.
Cheers,
Chris

- clear blue
- black pickguard
- #6 neck
- unlined ebony board
I've been waiting about 1 week so far (so I have even longer to go). I just know it will get finished 1 week before my summer vacation so I'll have to wait an extra 3 weeks while it's all complete before I can get it.

Ordered Easter weekend 2006. Like most of us, I want it now but I will gladly wait as long as it takes to have it done right.

I first received it exactly eight weeks after placing the order. It's Electric Blue with matching 'stock and maple board.
It originally had the #6 neck, but the replacement will be #8, which I hope might afford lower action. (Opinions seem split on this, but the #6 didn't work out, so why not try the #8?) I learned that my DiPinto Belvedere has a 14" radius, and I have no beef with that, so 12" should be fine.

Clear orange, natural binding, matching headstock, maple board.
i'm also going on vacation in a week so it will probably be a few more weeks before i can get my hands on it, since it will probably come in while i'm away. |

Yeah. My dealer said there were a bunch of ash bodied ones that have been held up. What a bummer
at least we aren't waiting for organs.

I can't get over how G and L just let me wait for 4 months with no word until last week. Thats total Bulls#*.MY dealer original said 8 to 12 weeks is a normal wait. I'm up to 16 and it will be 17 by the time it arrives and maybe 18 by the time I recieve it. I'm not even really excited any more. I feel Ive been handled a bit roughly.

I feel like I'm waiting for the Red Sox to win the world series all over again. It will be great to get it but then when I do what will I do with all of my anxious energy? Play the bass I guess! |

It's also good to get confirmation on the PLEK machine.
Although I don't think it will be of any use on my fretless, it seems like a step in the right direction for G&L.
Cheers,
Chris

My L2k. Honey finish on an ash body. Plecked neck with gun oil tint or GOT. BTW. This beast was wired by the factory with a series/single coil/ parallel switch. At least after an 18 week wait, I got something special out of it all.
