£225.84 ($449.95), is that a good price for a G&L JB2 bass?, I'm not to sure on the retail prices on G&L basses, if any of you can give me some indication on prices I would be much obliged

Bad comparison. The build quality/materials on my Tribute L-2000 surpass every Squire I've picked up. The G&L is also better than the Mexican models I've touched. Not that you can't get a quality Mexcian -made Fender, I just feel the Tribute is a noticeably better instrument....for roughly the same price.
