thinking about putting some on my L-2000 but would like to know how it would sound seeing as I will only have money for one new set of strings (seven basses, no job, strings are expensive)

peace

then again, I just put some TI jazz flats on and damn they sound good on this bass. I'll post some sound clips once my band finishes with recording (we start next Fri)

I use D'Addario Chromes on both my L1000's, and love 'em. Gives my bass a slightly woodier tone, without killing the high end.

I have been using fender stainless steel flats and ghs brite flats and their regular flats on LB100's, SB1, and L2000 with great tone and ease of play and almost no fret wear. Stay with the stainless steel for more high end, brightness and clarity. The nickel flats are mellower with not quite so much punch. I put a set of the ghs flats on my Jerry Jones Longhorn 4 and gave it a great, new, life. They made all the difference with that bass.
