Tell me about the ASAT 4 stringer. I own the Tribby 2k, but played the ASAT and fell in love. Yes a little G.A.S., but my wife says that I need to wait awhile before buying any more basses.

Its all the same pickups/pickup placement/ electronics as the L2000, but comes stock with a Jazz width neck (1.5") and obviously the different body shape. There were also some made with semi-hollowbody construction. Some folks have trouble with neck dive and also the reach to the lower frets because of the strap being attached farther down the neck (usually strap buttons are located approximately above the 12th fret- essentially the middle of a bass). Someone was making a device called an "ASAT strap extender" for awhile that helped with these problems- I don't think they are being made anymore...

The tone should be pretty much the same- it is essentially just an L-2000 with a different body shape!
