G&L Customization

I played a G&L yesterday, loved everything about it. I was wondering if the manufacturer is flexible at all with consumer-specified options -- like a pick guard, neck inlays... etc?

If it has a pickguard there is a limited selection of materials you can choose. You can have the dot inlays left off it you want. A list of G&L options is here: http://www.buffalobrosguitars.com/gA...tomOption.html

G&L isn't a custom shop in the sense that they will build anything you can dream up, but you can specify a number of features on a new G&L you order.

Definitely, but I guess it's either dots, or no dots -- any other inlays (like blocks) have to be done after market?

What I'd like is an L-2500 or L-1505 with a pickguard and ebony blocks.

Those definitely sound like aftermarket mods. I wanted to put a Stingray-style PG on my old L-1500, but traded it for a '77 Stingray before i went through with having one custom made.

Whatever's on their menu.

To their credit, G&L does not offer block inlays.
