G&L L-5000 Is mine Black or Blue? I can't tell.

I have recently purchased a G&L L5000 with a body manufacture of 1988 and a neck of 1989 and am still trying to determine whether the color is black or a dark blue.

Are you able to help me with this question. I want to list it correctly on the G&L Registry.

Lift the pickguard any environmental effects on the original finish should be minimal if at all under there.

It looks blue under the pickguard. I am going to say it is dark blue.
