G&L Neon sign

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi. I have a G&L neon sign (blue and red, about 2ft by 3 ft that I was given as a gift years ago (when I had G&L basses). It would have been a promo item for music stores. Works great. I think I am going to sell it, but can't find one anywhere to get an idea what it should go for. Anyone have an idea? Thanks.

Seems like one of those items that's "priceless." While I'd only pay $50 others might pay a couple hundred.

I have read reports that if they are left in one country for too long they will explode.

The only solution is to ship it to Canada for proper containment. Heeeeey I live in Canada.......

Seriously, I am a bit surprise some of the folks around here haven't been throwing offers at you.

I'd offer him a couple hundred for it if it was in good shape but my wife would likely break it over my head.

I had a few old neon beer signs that I acquired from my days working in restaurants. I sold most of them off for the $50-$100 range. A G&L sign would probably be worth a little more, since it's not nearly as common as a Budweiser or Corona sign, but your market's going to be a bit more narrow as well... I'd make you an offer, but a) I don't have the disposable funds right now and b) the few neon signs I have left are still boxed up in the garage and I don't really have anywhere to put them up either...

Thanks. I understand. I think it is worth $200. At least, I will keep it if I can't get that in sale or trade value.

Now on sale at TB accessories classifieds. It features a treble clef, but it is still very cool.

You're right, thanks. It is a sharp little item that I was given as a gift. I now need the wall space for a painting. Plus, I no longer own any G&L basses.
