Hi, first post. I'm struck by this instrument. Wondered what others think. Love this forum, by the way, very insightful. Thanks! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ayphotohosting

I vaguely recall seeing this one before somewhere, either on Ebay or Talkbass. It's close too, located in the town next to mine. Would ask to take a look if I did not already have an SB-2 I am very happy with. |

Deffo a rosewood board, though. |

It's got an entire day before the price shoots up. |

It's a nice one - the CAR really glows/shines. It was the first CAR G&L I'd had and I really liked it. I only sold it to get a different SB-2 with a maple board (a preference thing).
I was considering bidding on it but can't right now. It's a good bass.

It's got an entire day before the price shoots up. | why not just wait for another one? there's not a huge shortage of SB-2s or anything, and it seems like a costly shame to refinish that sweet CAR (I just got a nearly identical SB-2 with a maple board and swapped out the picguard for pearloid. It's bitchen!) |

It was also very light IIRC.

I also love G&L's Candy Apple Red finish, which is definitely what this one is (as opposed to Red Metal Flake). Love their LPB too. I'm not sure anyone does bursts and metallic finishes better than G&L.
Good luck! There have been some sweet deals on these on the 'bay lately. |
