Good setting for slap on L2500?

Sign in to disble this ad
Howdie,

I got a L2500 in December and I was wondering what settings people use for slap. I seem to get a tone that either has no bite or is way too treblely . I don't use slap often, but I know good slap tone and I just can't dial it in. Also I attached a pic for your viewing pleasure .

Thanks for any feedback .

Neck pickup only, parallel, passive. Both bass and treble at about 75%. Throw it into active if you need a little more bite.

Works for me on the rare slap occasion.

I get a nice slap tone with both pick-ups, series, bass and treble down about 20-25% and volume reduced enough to get the sound I like. Sounds better with less volume.

Search the archives for Ed Friedland demoing the tribute L-2000 -- there are tons of links to that video. It will give you a great idea of some settings to try.

I actually bookmarked it when I heard it.
