Hard Shell Case

Sign in to disble this ad
I am looking for a hard shell case to fit my new G&L - L2000. The molded case it came with leaves a bit to be desired. I have noticed the case will give some when I have it on an unlevel surface and I am concerned the bass in side is moving. I have a Pbass case at home and it is long enough but the case is too wide for the L2000. It moves from side to side as there is about a 2 inch difference in width. Any help is appreciated.

My case was a little too wide for my bass. I took a simple way out and just took some foam strips from a packing box and cut them to fit on the inside of the case along both sides of the bass. It's now a snug fit. you can do the same thing if the case is too deep for the bass. Buy a foam pad that's about 1/2" thick from Walmart or somewhere and cut it to fit the shape of the bass body (place the bass on top of the pad and trace around the body on the pad). Then place trimmed piece of foam either on top of the bass or under it (or both) in the case. Should fit like a glove. A lot cheaper then buying a new case.

I looked on the g&l website and could not find a hard shell case. Where could I find the G & G?

contact any G&L dealer and they can get the G&G case for you. if you don't have one in your area give bass central a call.

i've purchased the G&G cases for both of my L2K's and in my opinion they are worth the uprade.

Musicians Friend has a number of universal bass cases, any recommendations from there (or other places)?

Send Bass Central a message through their forum on talkbass, they can get the G&G cases from G&L.

Matt @ Guitar Man can hook you up. He knows G&Ls pretty well.

Thanks for the info. I e-mailed G&G and also faxed them for a price and I never got a response from them. I guess they are too busy. Tramp
