Hi Fourm
Hope this is the right place to start.

As a bit of background, just turned 40 on Jan the 26th, I live the other side of Cheltenham (UK) my band Rhondda and me have just released our first album on Nice as pie records! It can still happen even after years of trying! Thus began my G&L journey.

I am a Bass player who wants to be a Bass player, due to my love of Phil Lynott and Thin Lizzy, I am not like a lot of players that I have met who seem to take it up on a whim or as failed lead players.

I am and have always been a big fan of Leo's guitars and basses. (owning many variations)

My G&L relationship began during the recording of the album,

I aquired a stunning cherryburst L2000 usa model (which was ordered direct from the factory for me by Lance Perkins at the guitar studio in Evesham) and I must say it is perfect, it looks like a hotrodded P bass with a stingray style set up, BUT man I can not believe how great this bass sounds passive, so warm, so warm infact I used it all the time, and especially on a song called "when you shine" for a bass solo, great machine, I am also an EBS amp man.

Anyway sorry for the ramble, hope to talks lots more to you all, for the cheeky plug feel free to check us out on www.myspace.com/rhonddauk

Best Regards,

Andrew.

Greetings...

Lynott fans are a bit harder to find here in the U.S., in fact, most people don't know him by name !

Shame, really, on us..as he was a brilliant writer, and one of the greatest rock artists of Ireland !

Glad you found the L-2000...it is a great bass !

Seems you have excellent taste, all around !

Hi Andrew, welcome to the club- make sure you get your membership # from stuggi.

Phil Lynott is SO under-rated as a player. I remember seeing a bootleg of the Renegade tour, and he was excellent. Even in the Dedication live video, when he was going down-hill, he was great as both a player and singer. Put me down as a fan, too.
