Here is what I've got -
copper plate in bottom of control cavity has 2 loose black wires
input jack has white wire to pot 1
pot 1 has green wire to pup
pot 1 has white wire to input
pot 1 has yellow wire snipped
pot 1 has a capacitor with 200 on it between white and yellow wire tabs
pot 2 has white wire snipped
pot 2 has a .047k capacitor from tab 2 to pot top
pot 2 has a .001k capacitor from white wire tab to pot top
pup has 1 yellow wire and 1 green wire
Can someone give me some instructions on how to hook these up.
Many thanks |
Is the green wire on pot 1 connected to a tab on the pot or to the backside of the pot? Attach the yellow from the pup to the yellow from pot 1. attach the white wire from pot 2 to either the same tab on pot 1 as the white wire or to the input jack where the other white wire attaches (doesn't matter which- whichever the wire is long enough for). Is there a wire coming from the bridge into the control cavity? If so, this should attach to the back of one of the pots or to the copper plate. One black wire from the plate should go to the unused lug on the input jack. Are the pots/input jack all mounted on a piece of metal together? if not, there needs to be a wire connecting the back of both pots to the ground lug of the input jack (the lug that you just connected the black wire to).
Hope that helps...sounds like about as simple a circuit as can be! There may also be a drawn out wiring schematic on the G&L website, if you haven't looked there already!
