I Was Just Offered A Trade

And I'm not sure if I should take it.
The guitarist in my band is willing to trade me a brand new G&L S-500 tribute (I think his total playtime on it is... 6-7 minutes. He was given a brand new one as payment for a gig, and it never really interested him) for my Fender Highway One Stratocaster HSS. The Highway's about two years old, with the expected amount of wear on a two year old guitar (which, if you play like me, isn't much).

Should I take it, considering I like both guitars equally for different reasons?

I'd keep the Highway One. It's still a U.S. Fender.

I'd take the S-500 in a heart beat. But then, I am a big fan of G&L. I really like the sound of the MFD pups vs. the Fender pups.

Oh BIG +1 on taking the S-500.... in a heartbeat... with a quickness... and I'd laugh all the way home in that hgh pitched girly laugh that you get sometimes when you are so shocked and in disbelief and can't believe your incredible good fortune.

But that's just me.

Oh Hell yeah - me too. I'd be doing the Homer Simpson, "He-he-he-he-he-he" thing all the way home.

Wow, is there a way for me to get a gig there and get paid by way of an L2000?!?

I would too, but that's because I like the G&L MFD more then the fender pups.

From a dollar-to-dollar comparision, I think the Fender would win, just because it's a US Fender vs. an import G&L.

But personally, I'd rather have the G&L.
