And it's not even a special order.

I ordered a tribute l-2500 four weeks ago. Company said it shipped on the tenth, didn't show up in a week, so the store called them to find out where it was. Anyone care to guess? They never sent it out. In their defense, a G&L Rep called me to explain what was going on and said he'd ship it out that same day, and get it here a little faster than normal shipping. Then again, that was almost a week ago. . . . . If I call monday and they haven't sent it I'm cancelling the order and going with something else. It's a great instrument, but all I've seen of the company itself is a bunch of lying @$$ holes.

One order slips through the cracks, and the whole company is a bunch of liars?

That's a pain, but I'd be a little more patient. If it's really the instrument you want, another week or two is a small additional price to pay. And you shouldn't assume it would be better with other companies.

If 4 weeks is too long to wait for a Tribute, why not just get online and order one? There's a bunch of dealers with them in stock ready to go right now. With overnight shipping, you could be playing your new Bass on tuesday.

+1 There's hundreds of online stores and probably a few in your area that you could have just gone to to pick a bass up at.
