I've joined the club - SB1

I just bought a 1995 SB-1 from fleabay. I am very excited to be part of the club. The only downside I know of is that it has had its mfd pickup replaced with what looks like a SD quarter pound pup. They are nice sounding pups, though.

The body of an SB-1 is a great bass -- at least as good as any P made, but the 'magic' of an SB-1 is in the G&L MFD pickup.

I've been following the thread about finding a replacement. I definitely want one. I would rather not spend $120 from G&L. I'll keep my eyes open on ebay for a while.

Hey, mandocaster. Looks like you're in the same boat as me with my LB-100. I've PMed you the specifics of the replacement G&L MFD pickup that I'm getting via Guitar Man. It's the same as what you want for the SB-1. Hope that helps.
