Just ordered a custom L-2000

Sign in to disble this ad
Just left a deposit with Guitar Man a couple of hours ago for an L-2000 with the following options:

#8 Fretted Neck
Bird's Eye Maple Fingerboard
Premium Quilted Maple Top
Cherryburst Finish
Wood Body Binding
Deluxe Tolex Case

Now the waiting begins....

I'm sure it'll be worth it though. It should look similar to this L-2500:

Very pretty, I like the molded case better though, I have one of each.

Looks really sweet especially with that wood binding.

I've had both as well, and prefer the G&G. I like my cases old school.

My L2.5K was ordered the first week in May and arrived toward the end of Sept.

G&L L-2000 US w/quilted top

Hi,
I'm currious. Where did that picture come from? Great pic. I just bought mine (L-2500) as 2nd owner and it's exactly like the picture. Good luck with your L-2000.

Back in the day I custom ordered 2 G&L basses. One was an L2500, birdseye maple neck and board, ash body with honeyburst finish on a quilt maple top. Really nice. My next one was an L2000 fretless, unlined ebony board, maple neck, ash body wiht honeyburst finish. Again, very nice.

Enjoy.

That is going to be a sweet, sweet axe. Gun-oil, I presume?

No, didn't go for that because gun oil necks come with a glossy finish, which I don't care for.

Just got the call from Matt that it arrived at his shop. He's going to ship it out today and hopefully I'll have it tomorrow. Yay!

A bird's eye maple fingerboard only. They no longer offer bird's eye maple necks. And yes, you can order gun oil tint with that.

That is beautiful. Now just wait a few years for that neck to mellow & get a bit darker. It will look even better! Let us know how it plays.
