To evaluate over the holidays. I have already decided that it's a keeper. As almost everyone notes, the construction is top notch. Setup was perfect (okay, I'll tweek it some-but really don't have to!) right out of the bag. For basswood, the body is certainly more dense than my two other basswood basses. It balances well and is very comfortable. No real dead spots on the G string (very unlike Fenders I have owned/played). Hardware is impressive-and the pots feel much improved over the ones that I have messed with previously on the early Tribby g*$%)@#s. So far, I have just noodled around a little on my small practice amp. I can tell that I won't miss the tone pot-varying the volume controls yields a lot of tonal variation (within reason, anyway). It came strung with D'Addario XLs-they sound fine, but I am looking forward to slapping some TI Jazz Flats on it in the near future. I will play around this weekend and do a 'round robin' with some of my other basses.
This certainly looks like the first non-Peavey bass to join me in a very long time.
I can already sense that once I sell my G-bass and USA Millenium J/J, I will order a blueburst/rosewood Tribby L2000.
