I ordered my L-2000 today in Detroit. 3-color burst, rosewood fingerboard. I will update this thread when it arrives with photos.

Tell me I did the right thing. Please?

I have an 03 just like the one you ordered.
You're gonna love it!

You did the right thing.

Congratulations! As mainsail said, you will love it. Remember to spend some time experimenting with the switches. If you haven't already heard, the tone controls are "cut-only". This throws a lot of L-series owners until they get used to it.

OOOHHH YEAH, you will love it. It does take a little getting used to on the controls but once you understand it....no problem. Check out my avatar...it's an L-2000 and I love it.

That's one of the things that made me want one. I hated the way the EQ sounded on the Music Man...made my nerves brittle. I prefer that when I change the active/passive switch to "active", there's very little difference in tone.

Plus, I prefer to have an active/passive switch.

Where in Detroit? I'm looking at G&L myself.
