knob for L1000

does anyone know where i might be able to locate an original tone knob for my 1981 L1000? it's missing one.

If they are anything like the newer ones, you could try calling G&L. I needed a bridge for my L-1000 when I got it, and they were happy to sell me one.

The knobs from an '81 are pretty much impossible to find unless someone is parting out a G&L from that era- the knobs from some of the early guitars are the same too. You pretty much just have to watch Ebay religiously for awhile, and hope you don't get outbid when they eventually show up. If you don't plan on selling it, you could obviously just buy some different knobs for the time-being.
