Korean vs. Indo difference... no worry L2.5

Just got my Indo L2.5 after selling my korean and am very impressed. The thing seems more American than Trib. The sunburst is awesome, not ugly like most tribs. Very fender with right amts of blk. red and yellow. The ash is beautiful and cannot find a seam. The neck pocket could'nt be tighter. The rosewood board is dark, rich and grainy kinda old school looking. The fret size seems a little fatter than my korea but not taller. Might b my imagination. Fretwork perfect. The hardware is a little better, for instance the knobs are more dense metal. The pots themselves may be better quality. No scratchiness from salt air on boat ride over. The action on pots is very precision like a cts. The wiring is much neater with no globs of excess wire and tie wrapped. Cavity is painted with what looks to b grey shielding paint and back of cover is shielded w foil. The tuners seem to be a little better quality. ser#0801. 12 radius Great! ebay #170346646957

Excellent! Glad you got what you wanted.

The build quality on the Indonesian instruments is quite good, notably better than the Korean units (which were also good).

Now, if only we could get Fullerton to shield the back of the covers. It's been asked for - multiple times.

Thanks for the date & radius. I've added it to my collection.

Its good you are collecting that data. G&l will screw up a very good design if it changes that radius on the tribs. It will feel like a fender 5 at 9.5 radius and to me thats not good. My only prob with tribs is the very heavy tuners and sleeves. I cure that with hipshot ultralites and it really makes the bass balance with no effort to hold bass in playing position. These things are awesome and sound like sledgehamers! Jack
