L-2000 panning options

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm sorry if I've missed this, but I've searched everythread. I need to find out what, if any options I have to be able to blend the pick ups together, whether it be a mod, new preamp, whatever. Great, GREAT basses, but I'm used to a pan, so I'd like to get this option on my bass also.

Much Thanks

( I know, you'd think I'd be happy enough with all the options you have on a stock L-2000 ! )

On my L2000, I replaced the single volume with a stacked volume- I personally prefer 2 volumes to a blend/ volume setup. In order to do the blend/ volume setup without drilling a 4th hole for an extra pot, you'd have to put the treble cut and bass cut controls on a stacked pot to free up an extra hole- they don't make stacked pots that are the same values as those pots though, so you'd have to compromise some of the adjustment range of the bass cut pot in order to do it (the stock bass cut pot is a 1 meg linear, while the treble cut is a 250K audio- the closest you'd find is a 500K audio/ 250K audio stacked pot, so the bass cut control would work a little differently).
