Can someone explain to me or direct me to instructions for which switches and knobs are which. I think that the knob closest to the neck in volume, then treble, then bass. The fist switch is pick up selection , and think that the knob "points" to the pick up selected. But which is the series and parallel and which way is which, same for the active passive. Thanks.

series/parallel is in the middle, preamp off/on/on w/boost is closest to the bridge.

Here's how I would explain it. 1. The middle switch is series /parallel. Switch towards the neck is series, towards the bridge is parallel.
2.The switch farthest towards the bridge is the active/passive switch. Switch towards the neck is active with treble boost. Switch in middle position is active, and switch pointing to bridge is passive.
You are correct in your other assumptions.

Just click the green arrow until you get to the tone controls (about 3 clicks)

USA models forward is towards the neck.
Tribute models forward is towards the floor. You should be able to hear the bass boost in series on the series/parallel switch to verify this.
