L-2500 Tribute case?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm thinking seriously about getting an L-2500 Tribute, but I don't see a hard-shell case that fits it anywhere.

Any thoughts?

As far as I know, the Tribute L-2500 has the same dimensions as the USA model. G&L sells(albeit expensively, $169.95) the molded case for their basses on their web site. It should fit just fine.

The other options would be to find a G&L case selling on eBay or CL...or to go to GC and check out the "generic" cases offered by the various manufacturers.

May or maynot fit but...

When I recived my 55-01 from BassCentral sanz case I went to GC and looked at one of those Freedom cases and the -01 fit nicely in that case, not too expensive case works well. Now I bought a used 55-02 recently and it came with a Gator Soft/Hard kinda case. Nice looking case but kinda a drag to open and close. At a gig, I usually lean my HSC against a wall open the buckles along the side and remove bass, leaving the case leaning there. When you lean the Gator case against a wall or against your rig the zippers go all along the top and bottom of this case so it wont open unless you lay it flat on a table or floor cause the bottom zipper cant open all the way as it leans against something. A minor inconvenience but thats how I fell about it. The Gator case stays home, I just put the -02 in a gig bag or the Freedom case to take to gigs but keep it stored at home in the Gator. Got lucky when I bought my used G&L L2500 the guy sent me the OHSC too.

I've got a "Freedom" case by SKB that supposedly fits P & J basses, which I had for a 4-string Squier P a few years ago. I'm hoping the L-2500 Tribute fits well; per above, I'm optimistic...
