L2000 serial number question...

just bought a great sounding used L2000 -- but i'm a newbie so i got questions: serial number on back of headstock says CLF29772 -- year/other info?/does the battery run down if you don't pull the plug/ok to use dr. duck's axwax on rosewood fretboard -- that'll hold me for now. thx

The battery will run down if you leave the bass plugged in.

Serial # doesn't mean much for dating the bass you have to pull the neck for the true date.

then to the registry, I searched it but came up empty , is your number typed correctly here.



I did look through the clf #'s , didn't find yours but looks like late 1999 to 2004??????




Like said before , pull the neck and check there.
