is this a L2000e or a L1000 with a L2000e neck?

hi its definitly an L1000 BODY WITH AN L2000E NECK. the neck profiles should be the same and if every thing is working properly it would be a great player, but it is a mutt and wont really be a collector, however you may be able to find and or swap necks with somone, a long shot for sure, because vintage G&L bass necks are as scarce as hens teeth.

thanks... it was what I thought but then again I am not a G&L "historian" like many here. I am somewhat looking for that sound I hear about more than collecting or investing. But value has somthing to do with it too as well as my finances. There seems to be a nice one on TB now and a real beat up one on eBay (which looks interesting but you really don't know how bad it is until you get it - which is scary).

I do miss that SB-1 but I was in a lousy finacial spot then.

Yeah, that trans red/ebony one was mine. One of my best ones. A good deal and a good seller.
