Hi,
Would ya'll say that the L2500 is a good five string for funk, RnB, disco, etc?

Yeah--I'm thinking it would be a good way to go--not TOO modern, but not entirely "retro" either. I'm thinking, something that could pull off some classic fingerstyle funk and soul(I'm not much for slapping I admit), but also some modern RnB where you need that big wide slab of low end cushion.
Hmmm . . .

An L-1505 might be worth trying too if it sounds anything like my 1500.

I'm gonna get one.

/solemn oath

Too bad I am not super cashed up at the mo, the one to grab would be Pok's (which oddly I can't dig up a link to). You know, gun-metal blue.

Absolutely. My L2500 can handle it well.

I know of none better. Modern through vintage with everything in between.

All night long. Love my L-2500 for funk. The only thing I can think of that might be better for old-school funk is an L-2000. I just took ownership yesterday of an SB-2 that i've yet to put through it's paces, but I think it's going to work nicely for that also.

The neck pickup soloed and play up around the 9th fret while plucking in front is some smoooooth'n'creamy funkified goodness.
I just got a a BABP LE L2500 and totally dig it.
