L2500: strings recommendation for maximum E and B sustain?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi all,

can anybody recommend me strings for G&L 2500 that would give most sustain on E and B (near 12th fret and higher)? Preferably nickel-wound, through-body strung. Or at least give a clue what parameters (size, winding, etc.) to look for...

I found out that stainless steel strings gave me more sustain than nickels... (DR for me).

DR for me. And avoid tapered strings. I find strings with the full wrap at the bridge to have much fuller tone and better sustain. Ditto to the Stainless steel suggestion.
