About 3 years ago I ordered and got (4 months later) a Gold Flake L2500 w/GOT neck - I would've LOVED to been able to get all gold hardware too.

Up until a few years back, gold hardware was offered as an option on G&L guitars & basses.
As I recall, it was fairly expensive, about $300 additional, and added extra lead time to the build.

So the instrument you speak of was probably factory-ordered with that option, not an Anniversary model, at least that I'm aware of.

They (G&L) stopped offering the option; not enough interest I guess.

Not my personal choice (I prefer Black!) but I've seen some G&L's with gold hardware, and they look very GOOD.

Anyone remember the Commemorative ASAT?

Talk about bling, it even had gold plated strings.
