L5500 Serial

Hey guys. I was curious about the age of my bass which i own for a couple of years now. It's a L5500 5-strings with active EMG pickups.
The serial: B000435.
The seller told my she was built somewhere in the 90's, but i couldn't find out exactly when. According to G&L's website,
"The serial numbers on guitars and basses started at #500, reserving prior numbers for special instruments or presentation."
Any suggestions? thanks!

My L5500 is number 465, a close relative, so the age issue is of interest to me too.

The 5500's use a different numbering system than other G&L's. It's probly a '97, but you can pop the neck to check for sure.
