Looking for a specific Lefty SB-1. HELP!!!!

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi, I had a lefty gold metallic G&L SB-1 w/ MotherOfPearl pickguard that I foolishly sold about 5-6 years ago to a pawn shop in Austin, TX. I am in better financial shape now and would love to find the person who has the bass and see if he/she would be willing to sell it back to me. It has a lot of personal history!I know this is a long shot but thanks for looking.

Mike.

Ooops, sorry, I found it. yes, that was me that registered it back when I first bought it. I completely forgot about doing that. Hopefully I can find who owns this now. Thanks!

(1988 redburst SB-1, lefty, of course)

EDIT: Actually, I know exactly how you feel. I let loose of a 1982 Fender P, tobacco sunburst, maple f/b, and I have been kicking myself for well over a decade now. I thought I found it once on ebay, but a quick email proved it to be a twin, but not the original. *sigh* Good luck.

Yea, it's a real bummer. A couple of years ago I offered the pawn shop some cash to contact the guy for me and let him/her know what was going on but they wouldn't. Which is a great thing because it would have been illegal - but I had to try.

Oh yea, Id be willing to pay a lot more than what it's worth to get it back, and/or a finders fee.
