Make way for the newbie!!!

Just binned on my first G&L bass off of Ebay (item # 330136814008 for those who want to see pics) It is a fretless L-2500 with a lined fingerboard. I was playing one of these at Guitar Center and really loved it. Does anyone else out there have a fretless l-2500? Any suggestions on strings? My natural inclination will be to put DR low-riders on it, so that is where I am coming from...

I had my eye on the same bass. It was the only fretless 2500 that I have seen floating around in quite a while. Congratulations!

Strings . . . See how you like what ever is on it now then think if you want flatwound fundament or roundwound zing.

Good luck with your new beauty. Of course we all expect to see pictures when you get it. . . . .

I'll be sure to post some pix when I get it in (next week some time) and I have a chance to really give her a good polish. I am sure the low res pics the seller had posted don't due her justice!! Also, if you are interested in a fretless 2500 Guitar Center in Nashville, TN has one, but they want $1200 for it and has seen a little more use than I want for that price. This ebay auction was a great deal for a mint condition bass.
