With a new neck...The original maple neck had a hump in the center and headstock lift rendering it virtually useless...

That looks great. Is the fret wire standard size?

You're right, fret wire doesn't appear to be standard size.

This is the original finish...I actually bought the neck from a fellow TBer...G&L wanted a fortune for a new neck

Bummer. I was afraid you'd say that. My neck needs replacing, but I'm not sure I want to spend the money on that. I'd almost rather just buy a new L1500 or L2000 and be done with it.
The L1000 is still playable, it's just not perfect.

Hey

Glad to see the neck worked out for you clouder, great solution to a neck gone south. Were you getting ski jump effect on the origional L1K neck?
