Hello, my name is JD and I've been the proud owner of a L-2000 bass since 1993. It was the first "nice" bass I ever had. I was a junior in high school when I got it, and now 13 years (and a few basses) later it's still my main ax. I own more expensive basses, but I just always go back to my G&L. It's a $1,200 bass that I think plays and sounds better than most basses 2 or 3 times as expensive. So it's cool to find more G&L players. I like to play weird stuff so I have flirted with the idea of putting a tremello on this bass. I am way too afraid of messing anything up to attempt this myself, so I was wondering if I could get some advice. There doesn't seem to be anybody in my area who does this kind of thing often. Is there a certain brand of tremello that would work better on my L-2000? Does anybody know if there is a person I can trust with this in the mid-eastern U.S.? Any help would be greatly appreciated, or if you just want to talk bass, that's cool too. |
