Isn't this thing gorgeous? It looks orange in the pictures but it's an amber color.

Look at the figuring in the neck! An unexpected bonus!

Nice! I have a sunburst L2500 tribute. Probably, no *is*, the nicest built bass I own. If I could only get used to the narrow string spacing.

I must admit, I feel a bit guilty having two humbuckers and only using one

The build quality on this bass is spectacular! Everything is tight, fingerboard edges rounded, hardware quality. On mine you really have to look to see that the body is two pieces and the grain is beautiful. My only gripe is that the tuners are huge - especially the gears - and this contributes heavily (pun intended) to neck dive. I do plan on replacing the tuners with Hipshot Ultralights sometime in the next few months.

I do need to get used to the narrow string spacing but I'm finding that it allows me to play faster and more accurately. I'm still surprised every time I pull it out of the gig bag - the body and neck seem slightly mismatched size wise. I'm just used to a bigger body since I used to own an Ibanez BTB555.

Now I have to redo all of the settings on my Bass PODxt! I was beginning to wonder what was wrong with my L2500 Trib because every setting was way too bassy on the parallel setting when it should be fairly crisp. Things were sounding right when I dropped the bass cut on my bass all the way. Then it dawned on me - these pups pump out more sound than other pickups!

I had them set mostly to the default settings for each amp and had only changed the microphone emulation to a more detailed sound. These MFD pump out so much bassy sound that I have to drop the bass settings on my patches way down. It really shows what these pups are capable of when the previous settings worked just fine for a Conklin Groove Tools and an Ibanez BTB555!
