need a pick guard

Sign in to disble this ad
I am trying to find a pick guard for my 1987 G&L SB 1. Anyone know where I can get an exact replacement from. I called Jeannie pickguards. They are advertising on e-bay that they have SB 1 pickguards but when I called them, they want me to send in my old pickguard so they can match the cut. That leaves my bass unplayable for at least a couple of weeks. I emailed Pick guard Heaven but they won't bevel the guard because of the pattern. Can anyone help.

Doesn't www.wdmusic.com just allow you to trace it and sent them the trace?

Try that.

SB-1 pickguard

Hi Tramp, I see in your post you're looking for a new P/G for your SB-1. The only imput I can give you is my experience with Pickguard Heaven which is Chandler pickguards that make the P/G's for G&L guitars and basses as far as I know so it would be made right. I had one made for my bass and since I live in Chico Calif. home of Chandler I just took my old P/G to a drop off center in town. It did take a month tho but the results are just great . My P/G is the bakelite Suede [$44.00 ] which has a charcoal look, sort of like the Aluminum P/G's of older G&L basses. They say at their website that if your bass is older than 1994 they can't bevel the P/G for whatever reason. Email me at Surfgarage@sbcglobal.net and I'll try to send you some pics.

Eddie
