New G&L Day

About 3 months ago I bought and US made SB2 and I think it's ruined me for other basses, so I figured today that I'd round out the stable a bit and bought a US made L2500. Here's the bass porn: (Sorry for the poor quality of photos)

And the one that started it:

That looks vaguely familiar...

Congrats!

What color is the back? Mine is a VERY deep purple.

Very nice! Both are gorgeous.

I bought a U.S. SB-2 in 2007, and it had a similar effect. I soon realized I could easily get by with that and my Jazz, to which I would now add my Jazz V. I'll still keep my Precision, even though I don't know why I'd play it on stage instead of the SB-2. But it rendered my DiPinto Belvedere unnecessary, because finally I have a solidbody that sounds as heavy. The attempt to sell that and another unnecessary bass began on Philly's Craigslist last night.

The goal? Make room for another G&L, of course.

The back of mine is a deep blue/purple as well. I think with the SB2 and L2.5K I've got everything I need for now. famous last words - I know.

Famous last words indeed. I too have an SB-2.

Then came the call of a much-modified-into-monster-single-coil bass, and things are now becoming more complete.

Know the feeling. This is also my first foray into five-strings and I'm finding the neck really easy to get around, although I find myself reaching for the B instead of the E string every once in a while - but I think it'll be worth the effort. I'll try to get some better pictures up later today.
