I've heard from a couple of dealers that minimum advertised price will be $449.99. But confirm that with your favorite G&L dealer.

You can't easily swap the necks between the SB-2 and JB-2 Tributes because the SB-2 has a 4 bolt neck and the JB-2 has a 6 bolt neck, IIRC. Too bad, I also wanted an SB-2 w/ a maple board though the rosewood one is working out quite well for me.

Does anyone know if the necks can be swapped if 2 extra holes are drilled in the SB-2 neck and mounted on the JB-2 body? Similarly, can the JB-2 neck be mounted on the SB-2 using the 4 outter holes (that is, are 4 of the 6 holes on the JB-2 neck the same spacing as the holes 4 on the SB-2 neck)?

I have an older model Trib sb2 that I will never get rid of----it has a maple neck and fretboard----I wonder why they discontinued it ?

NOTE: I tried to gingerly scratch out the "tribute" on the headstock, ya know, to pull off a "real" g&l" but butchered it, so I stuck the number PI in glow in the dark numbers. (Hey, I'm a science geek...)

another note: I sold the Roscoe on the right----very rare woods, and incredible bass....worth so much that I used the money to buy a bargain-priced Modulus Q6 I was/am in love with.

If the price is right on the JB-2's then I think I might just have to get myself one. I'm really liking that natural one, if only they made it with a maple board...
