Hey I was wondering if you guys knew of good places to buy used G&L basses online. Im talking about Leo Fender era basses from 1980-1991. I know guitarsbyleo, ebay, harmonycentral.com, vintagebass.com, and of course here. I just need some help because everywhere I go I cant find a decent G&L that I really want so any help would be awsome. Thanks |

Thanks | This is brand new, maybe 4 months old, and sonically smokes my older ones.
To score a Leo era you gotta watch close everywhere.

Data are still being collected, but I wouldn't say it smokes my vintage G&Ls, but it certainly is their peer...the lineage is very clear.

One of 22 built. I wasn't as fortunate as spidey.

FWIW mine is #7
It wasn't so much luck because these were commissioned and designed by a core group over on BABP and the run was limited to the # ordered. We announced the order window was open on every G&L forum there was.

Jim | I'm not crushed, but I was bit heartbroken when it was announced over at BABP. I knew the scratch wasn't gonna be available even at the fair price. I'm still extremely impressed it was done and look forward to future collaborations.

I think that it was a good experience for both G&L and their loyals, so I would expect it to happen again at some point. Save your pennies. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
