Opinion of this G&L L2000

Like the title says. I'm really thinking of making the plunge into G&L territory. I'm looking for a low mid monster. I think this would fit the bill. Can anyone explain to me the difference in electronics? Says it's a transition bass.

Well the old ones like that do sound a bit stronger in the low mids than the newer ones. The mahogany body may add to that as well.

That one looks really clean, and while the price is a tad high, the market for that model will likely catch up to, or even surpass that soon. Looks clean enough to pay a premium for.

Are the electronics the same as the current models?

No, the preamp is different, along with the coil tapping options. That makes the difference.

I'd ask the dealer if everything is original, and if the truss rod works as it should. And maybe the weight, if that matters to ya.

I couldn't get any response from bass palace once to buy something.

Note to dealers: When a gear whore with a tax refund calls, you listen.
