Hey guys, I hate to do something like this, but I have a question...I have a G&L SB-2 bass that I bought about 9 years ago, used...I haven't played the bass in 4 years, and recently a friend of mine offered me $400 for the bass...he seemed extremely interested and he knows a lot about musical instruments...so my problem is, how much do you guys think its worth? Here's what I know (which isn't much):

SB-2, made in USA
Dual pickup
Excellent intonation
Straight neck, no damage
Excellent condition.

Here's some pics:

Thanks guys, I really appreciate your help...I just dont want to get taken when I decide to sell it

There's one on eBay right now that's a little banged up going for $695 (with no bids though).

I would suspect that your bass is worth more than $400. I don't think $600 would be out of the question, but I admit I know nothing about the desireability of this particular model.

Those things are becoming kinda collectable.

Is that a refin? If so, then $400 is prolly fair.

Original paint? Then 400 is a steal.

G&L has a Cobalt Blue on their menu, but I don't know if it was available in the mid 80's.
