Hey guys!
This is my new build. 70s Fender Precision neck, 1 piece mahogany body, late 80s G&L L1000 pickup, hipshot brass b style bridge, master volume, master tone, bass boost switch.
This thing is a freakin' monster!

Very nice! Love the 'hog body.

I often wonder why you don't see more custom builds equipped with G&L MFD humbuckers, especially considering you can buy them new on the G&L website (though lucky you for scoring a used one).

My goal is to one day build a Fenderbird in mahogany with a single MFD and the typical L1K tone circuit.

I say "one day" because given how my projects usually go, I'll be satisfied if I can actually pull it off before my fingers are too arthritic to actually play the thing.

Great looking bass. Great idea. I also wonder why folks don't do projects like this more. Have fun with it!

I love the look of the L1P and in the spirit of sharing here is a peek at my L2 modded 83' Gibby!

The metal guys can't figure out the tone from this baby and of course I rarely tell...

The spacing is perfect for a Squier Vista Musicmaster bass, if you ever need a cheap, but awesome short-scale.

I used to have a stock version of that black '83, and if it had that mod, I would've kept it!
