Brand new ? With the wide amount of options available you can be anywhere from around $1100 to $2300 for US models. Tribute models will have fewer options and prices are $559 (L2000) $599 (L2500). Check with your dealer for any discount pricing that might be available. I recommend guitarmannyc.com or guitaradoptions.com

Used can be anywhere from around $500 to $1000 for US models, check e-bay.

MIA or TRIBUTE???

A seller emailed me pics of a burst colored L-2500 he wants to sell but does not if it is MIA or Tribute, he says it only says G&L on the matching burst headstock. The pic shows large gold G&L letters but I can only make out some fuzzy black either letters or numbers to the right of the G&L logo, cant make out what is says on the pic. Do the MIA's say anything on the headstocks besides G&L? Do the Tributes come with matching headstocks like this 3 tone burst or only the MIA's. Any info would help, guess I can ask him to read the headstock better, .

COOL...

I upsized one of the pics and I can now read "guitars by leo" next to the G&L logo. So I am guessing this is a MIA? THough I dont know what differentiates the MIA's from tribs. I think seller says it is about 2 yrs old, looks very clean, 3 tone burst I believe, rosewood board. I have not asked but if/when I get this bass how will I know what # neck is on it. If he did not know how to tell if it was a trib or mia I dont suppose he will know how to read the neck # or is it obvious with a big 5 or 8 on back? Hopefully soon I will be holding it myself and will know for sure.

I just ordered an MIA L-2500 yesterday and am told it comes with the number 10 neck as standard.
I'm getting the Tri-Color sunburst with the ebony fingervoard. Can't wait!

If you're still in need, there's a sunburst L25k for $500 on evilbay. Woodstock Music shop is selling it. I'd buy it, but already have one.

What kind of lead time are they figuring these days? I'm thinking of ordering one as well.

I'm getting it through Buffalow Bros. and they didn't give me a solid lead time as the order will probably be processed in the factory around tuesday.
They did say most orders are being processed with reasonable time from a month to 8 weeks.
I'm planning on the later and if it comes sooner I'll be estatic.

#5, #8. #10, ??

So this bass MIA L2500 I am buying used may come with a #10 if thats standard. I did not ask seller so what should I look for when I recieve it to tell what number neck is on this bass. And what is the difference between the different numbered necks? Are the pups all standard on the G&L's too?

You can get the info about the different nect options on the FAQ link.

The nut width on your bass when you get it, should be 1 ¾.

You may find the info on the various pup options on the G&L website.

Hope this helps.
