Price question for JB-2

Hi

I recently went to my local music shop and played a new G&L JB-2. I loved the bass, but was wondering what a fair price on one of these is.

The bass is spanish copper finish, gun oil tinted maple neck, made in america.

The list is $1385.

What do you think?

I paid 1200 or close to that for a new lefty about a year ago. I paid 799 for my month old used one. The JB2 is a great bass

There is some variance in pricing from dealer to dealer, so shop around. That seems on the high side of normal. Call Buffalo Bros for a quote.

JB 2, Great bass guitars, I waited patiently & scored mine on ebay for
$550.00. A real beauty w/matching headstock. Mint condition is an understatement as the bass arrived in factory brand new condition.

I love it & do not see or hear the need to replace the pick-ups.

that is a pretty bass my friend.

I talked the guy down to 1100, but am still a little hesitant to pull the trigger.

I got mine on Ebay for 650 delivered. Used but in exce;;ent condition. Watch ebay and buy from someone with a good rating. U can pick up a used 1 for 1/2 on EBAY

I got a price today after playing an SB-2 ,with no options,of $995. I believe he said if I ordered one with gun oil gloss neck it would be about $140 more. I know you said JB-2 but thought this would help. Spanish Copper with gun oil neck!! Wow that must be very nice. Is that a custom color? If it is that could justify some of the price.

I don't believe that is a custom color. Great price. I have not found it less then $1150

1199 is what i paid, no gun oil finish
