Have been meaning to post these and finally found some time.

First up is a 1989 El Toro I picked up off eBay a few weeks ago. Was the high bidder but the reserve was not met, seller was local and offered me a great price so I snagged it.
It is is excellent shape, looks like it spent most of it's life in the case (original tolex, also in excellent conditon).
Great playing and sounding bass, probably the most tonally versatile G&L I have played yet.

.....
.....
Next up is a circa 1983 SB-2 JJ I got from TB about a month ago. All original with just the right amount of mojo, but plenty of life left in it. Another great player, did a party gig with it last week. Guitar player is now requesting it be played at all gigs as he loves the tone. The slab body can get a bit uncomfortable after a long night, but the sound and simplicity of this bass cannot be ignored.

Those are some good looking basses, I hope to add a SB2 JJ to my collection some day.
Just recently snagged a $500. beater El Toro on ebay, & I'm excited to receive her soon!
maybe Monday! I'm super stoked with the El Toro, hope she still has some life in her.
