I heard you can get them straight through the G&L store as well- those particular pickups aren't listed in their online store, but you could email them and ask...
I'm 99% certain you can get them through G&Ls online store if you ask (or maybe call). I know people have got them that way before! I don't know whay they don't list that particular pickup on the website though- maybe they don't want a market of MFDs populating old Fenders and Warmoths, etc...(since it is a standard P size whereas the other MFDs are all odd sizes compared to any standards). I'm sure they prefer you actually buy an SB-2 than just pimping out a different brands bass a G&L pickup.
Hmmm. Well I sent them an email some time ago, and I never got a response. I guess I'll try again.
Honestly- I've found them to be very bad at returning phone calls or emails. The phone would probably be a better bet though- or you could always order one from a local G&L dealer, they can get them for sure and have a different # to use when they call...or at least you will have passed the burden of getting in touch with G&L onto someone else!
