hello fellow ( GLEEKS) i just snaged this baby looks to be an 81 L 2000 E , slotted pole pieces , but check out the root beer finish, i have never seen a g&l bass with this finish before, i know they did some guitars in the early 80s, my friend has an f 100 that has the same root beer tint, has any body seen another g&l bass like this?

I've seen one before. Are you sure it's not just a clear coat over tinted mahogany? I know at one point G&L made some mahogany L2000's.

No idea Steve. That is an early 80 an God knows how many owners it has had.
Hell could have been the wood itself. compare to my 'hog El Toro.
