Rounds for G&L SB2

Sign in to disble this ad
After 2 years, I am looking to replace my La Bella Deep Talkin Flats on my SB2 with somewhat brighter strings. Really looking for a punchy sound with a little growl. Still playing fingerstyle rock and funk. No slapping. Any suggestiions? Some of my ideas so far are:

DR Low Riders
D'Addario Half Rounds
La Bella Hard Rockin Steels

I like SIT Silencers on mine - they are groundwounds so a mostly roundwound sound with much less finger noise.

I like the half wounds. I've used them on my 1k in the past and have had good results.
