Rusty Polepieces

Sign in to disble this ad
Which, to steal from Dave Barry, sounds like a good name for a band.

The L2000 I recently acquired arrived with a couple of polepieces, pickup height screws and one bridge mounting screw that are seriously rusty (which I would attribute to it's former home in coastal Georgia). I imagine I can find replacements/substitutes for the pickup height and bridge screws but I'm not sure how to tackle the polepieces. Can they be removed, cleaned up and re-installed or will doing this damage this pickup? Any advice/ideas will be appreciated.
