I just picked up a tribute SB-2 model from fellow TBer Gary.
I've owned 2 L2K's, fretless and fretted. A JB-2, and an L1000.
The build quality is as nice as any of the above US models.
Tight neck pocket, flawless finish, nice rosewood on fingerboard.
Fret work was superb, clean maple neck, free of grain lines.
I had a Lakland 44-02 fretless made in Korea, which I regret selling,
but the tribby SB-2 is on a par with the Skyline series.
I'm going to string it up with either DR flats or TI jazz flats.
