Back in 2003 I was going to order a greenburst G&L L2000 for myself as a christmas present. I did not however because I found a bass I could actually play before plunking down money on it, a Carvin LB70. Not exactly an L-2000, but I got a good deal on it $550 in mint-condition. so I never got my L-2000 but hope to some day. You leftys out there, let's see your G&L basses!

They are both nice basses but IMHO, the G&L feels more substantial and has a more raw ballsy sound.

LOL I know, A lot of us play much worse than Mr. Reeder...but as I'm sure you well know he strings his bass backwards despite it being a left-handed bass. Or at least that's what I read on Wikipedia.

Other people who do this are Greta from Moby and Jimmy Haslip from the Yellowjackets. I've seen several lefties that do this over the years, but the weirdest was when I saw a righty restring this way. I have no idea why he's do such a thing.
